At our school we are happy, kind... and we always smile!
This week some of our students attended a very interesting workshop on tourism in the Valencian Community.
Organized by the Valencian Tourism Agency, the motto of the conference is 'Spread your hospitality' and is about Mediterranean hospitality, highlighting and promoting the open, friendly, cheerful and inclusive character of businessmen and workers in the tourism sector of the community and of society as a whole.
The Valencian Community is an autonomous community that lives largely on tourism; Every year it receives 20 million tourists. Thus, it has become a pioneer region in the launch of a Tourism Code of Ethics to regulate this activity.
In the workshop our students were exposed and invited to reflect on “What makes us attractive as a tourist destination?”.

The answer is that our community encompasses different types of tourism, for example:
Gastronomic (with reference dishes such as Valencian paella or fideuá).
Cultural (thanks to its heritage or with festivals such as the Fallas, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity)
Of nature (with a total of 22 natural parks in the community, 524 km of coast and more than 300 days of sunshine a year).
But, what is the greatest attraction of the Valencian Community?
The carhospitable character.

And what are the valuesWhat makes us hospitable? The values presented and discussed in the workshop were; We are authentic, happy, inclusive, reliable, innovative, detailed, sustainable and Mediterranean. All of them are very important values, which are present every day in small actions such as always welcoming tourists with a smile or generating the necessary trust when someone visits a different country.
The students left the workshop delighted, since in addition to learning and reflecting on the pillars of Mediterranean tourism, they had the opportunity to attend a conference in spanish with which they could practice their understanding of the language and exchange opinions.
In Hispania, Spanish school We are not satisfied with teaching Spanish classes. We make our students' stay become a more complete experience. For this reason, we constantly encourage our students to enjoy and learn from the culture of our city and our country by organizing training like this and leisure and cultural activities.
