To the rhythm of the song'All I want is you', this year we have reflected the story of our student Jay, who decides to live the Hispania experience in Valencia in December and the result is... learning a lot of Spanish, meeting friends from all over the world and enjoying magical moments. The celebration of Christmas in Spain begins every year with the National Lottery Draw on December 22. In our beloved school we adapt this tradition to involve our students; we celebrate our 'Christmas Lottery Draw Hispania, Spanish school'.
The students have a lot of fun sharing this tradition with their teachers and classmates and look forward to the winning numbers to see which students will be the lucky winners. The school teachers, as happy and fun as always, are in charge of singing the numbers and introducing their students to the popular children of San Ildefonso.
Every Christmas we celebrate our popular 'Hispania Christmas Carols Contest'. A great show in which carols, the most popular Christmas songs, invade the school and infect us with joy and rhythm.
The students prepare a Christmas carol with their classmates and delight us on the day of the big contest. The school's teachers also participate in the competition and show their talent. Some of the songs chosen were 'La Marimorena', 'My burrito sabanero' or 'A donkey goes towards Bethlehem'. Do you know these Christmas carols in Spanish? 😉
In this contest, prizes are awarded for challenges such as the most complicated grammar, the best staging or the best pronunciation. 😉
For many of our students it was the first time they dared to sing in Spanish, and they did great! A big applause for everyone!
Valencia is a very beautiful city and at Christmas even more so! The historic center of the city is dressed in light and color at this time and the city has a very special shine.
The students of our school enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere of Valencia with a very fun and practical experimental Spanish class in the city center. They learned a lot of Spanish while touring the city center, playing various games, activities and contests.
Furthermore, with the cultural activities program and in free time from school, the students took a Christmas Tour through the center of Valencia, accompanied by a chocolate and churros tasting. Delicious!
