Talking about the month of December is talking about Christmas, smiles, lights, joy, Christmas carols, happiness, celebrations... and all of that has been very present this month in our calendars and in every corner of our beloved school.
There is a tradition that marks the beginning of Christmas in Spain: the National Lottery Draw on December 22. Like every year, we make this draw known to our students by celebrating our particular 'Hispania Christmas Lottery Draw, Spanish school'. The school teachers become the children of San Ildefonso for a day and sing the numbers with joy and enthusiasm, while the students, tenth in hand, check to see if their number is the winning one. 😉
Christmas carols as famous as 'The fish in the river', 'La Marimorena' or 'Bell on bell' become the soundtrack of our school with luxury performers; students and teachers. In this contest, merits such as the most complicated grammar, the staging or the best pronunciation are rewarded. 😉
For many of the students it was the first time they dared to sing in Spanish. They prepared their Christmas carols with great enthusiasm and the result was a great show and lots of laughter and applause!
The school's Christmas video has become a tradition in which every year all students and the team of teachers, academic coordination, management and administration of the school participate. Thank you all very much for participating!
When we prepare a new video we want it to reflect the happiness that is experienced in Hispania and this year our students Ilona, Dennis, Kaylee and Nikola wanted to be in charge of recording a fun lip up throughout the school. Don't miss the result. We had a great time!
We can't stop watching it and we love it because it reflects everything that makes our school so special: camaraderie, enthusiasm, positive energy and above all, a lot of happiness!
Valencia is beautiful dressed for Christmas! In the last week of the year our teachers prepared a very special Spanish class to celebrate Christmas in Valencia with our students. They toured the city center practicing a lot of Spanish and playing fun games and contests.
As the song in our video says: “our best gift is you.”
THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU for being there for another year. We are sure that 2019 will bring us great moments and surprises and a great desire to continue learning Spanish.
